Advance request

The

advance request service

enables users to request the assets service in advance so that they can access the document they need on a specific day. This service allows the user to reserve a maximum of 10 volumes to be available for a maximum time period of 15 calendar days.

In order to use this service, it is essential to:

1. Be registered as a user of the BNE, because the system will demand a user identification number (Card No. or National identity number - DNI).
2. Complete the corresponding form that is linked to the bibliographic record resulting from a search.
    

When the form has been sent, the system will automatically send an OK. Later, the user will receive an e-mail confirming that the request is being processed. The assets of the Recoletos branch must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Those of the Alcalá de Henares branch must be requested at least 48 hours in advance, not including weekends and national holidays.
